How We Work

One Global Economy works with partners to provide communities and individuals with the tools they need to maximize the potential of technology to facilitate the economic livelihood of the poor. Our program meets three strategic principles:

1. Accessibility:
One Global Economy approaches accessibility in a variety of ways to guarantee friendly and efficient access for individuals. Our access points will include schools, community centers, clinics, NGOs, and ultimately, the home.

2. Affordability:
One Global Economy, with its partners, will design and implement the most affordable and appropriate technical connectivity solution for the community (wireless, landline etc.)

3. Utility:
One Global Economy will ensure that its efforts result in useful services and resources for the poor and those that support them. Central to this will be the creation of community portals. These webs
ites will provide culturally relevant and user-friendly content written in local languages. One Global Economy will engage community residents and other stakeholders in a participatory process to design and implement the ‘Community Portal’ and other programs. Participation of stakeholders is a key component of One Global Economy’s methodology.
